Half of the partners promotors are member organisations of Don Bosco Youth-Net ivzw. Our network will exist 10 years in 2011. In this first decade we have organised many YiA projects together. Next to this we are currenlty working with a YiA 4.1 administrative grant, which shows our network works together in an efficient way.
The majority of the other partners are also part of the Don Bosco movement, but are active in a different sector. Most of them are active in the sector of Development Cooperation. As such they are sending out volunteers to do a voluntary service in developing countries or in poverty regions on the European continent. Other partners are more active in local youth work, including young people with fewer opportunities in their local communities.
Next to this we are having 2 promoters which are independant from the Don Bosco Movement. They will have a strong added value to the partnership of this project, as they are bringing in opinions and experiences which are new to the Don Bosco Movement. At the same time this project is a good event for them to get a thorough understanding of the opinions and experiences typical for the Don Bosco Movement. In other terms we hope to establish by including non-Don Bosco organisations a a cross-fertilisation of opinions and experiences.
All projects of these partners have a strong emphasis on education and youth. As these organisation have a different target group but a similar working style, it is interesting to bring both together. The aim is to encourage them to network on local level.
